Looks like a Mini Photon with a small in-glass progressive display.  I can't say I've seen one before, although I've seen it referenced in the PSP manual (where you can choose how frequently the display flashes with a setting in PSP).  Is it yours?  Does it work?  What machine is it in?

What machine is it in?

My guess is Bally's Silver & Gold.

That would be correct on the silver and gold. They are both bally 5500's. Right now I am getting a C1 error. I'm guessing the C1 is communication error, I have yet to determine if its connected to the Back plain board. I guess I am looking for a manual or something in that direction to get it working. Not sure what all the dip switches are fore, etc?

You need a Con1 controller plugged into the J3 header on your board.

Where does that pair of red and black wires go to, and what is that connector labeled as on the board (the wires are covering the label, although an educated guess is "CON2 DATA")?

...and am I correct in assuming that you removed the ribbon cable from the black 10-pin "VLED" connector on the main board for the picture?

This is for a CON2, the first 3 dips on the third pack define the jackpot in binary "xxx" = JP0 to "ooo"=JP7
