I am watching this with interest. I am wanting to do a similar thing. I want to just be able to scroll the mikohn jackpot values at the bottom of a lcd tv, and maybe jackpot winner on machine ##. I am not able to program, however I do not mind having to pay for something that will do this.

Hi

Friend.

1-You have to have a PC (not necessary a new one. Old pentium 4 , 512 ram , 20 for hard disk , a cd o dvd player and Powerpoint  ,window xp , a serial port ,etc).
2-An interface between the pc and Supercontroller CON2.One end will be connected J6 or J5 on your supercontroller
and the other end to PC serial DB-9 port .
3-PSP program for Mikhon CON2.
4- JKT Software KKT (visual basic).
5-The serial port shoud be set at 9600 bauds etc.
6-To have basic knowlodge of Power point.
7-To creat a power point file to be able to connnect to with JKT and this with PSP.
8-When running both at same time with liason commmand and later execute you will see on screen images you create on power point appering and desappering meanwhile you will see jackpot amount incrementing .
9-If you are in USA, you will on screen Euro sign if you want to change could be a little diffiicult. You stop the animation and click over this sign a move it out from the square . Start animation again . Do not forget this animation are composed by Macro file so they must be running when you able them to run.

Thanks for your interest and let me know.

Good luck in project.

Thanks again.

Hi there

The conection will be using max232. Read carfully how and what pin works. : TxR, etc.
When you identify output and imput of this be sure identify same in CON2(J6).

It is a very simple PCB not complicated.
When  cables  are soldered to  the opposite end will connected to J6 or J5 .
On Con2 manual you will identify what are the basic connection and function to able to match the logic of communication.

Thanks.

I have already make this PCB with MAXIM232 Chipset and it work fine.

Now, i don't understand how i can read and extract information from Con2, like : current amount, when jackpot, amount of jackpot and number of machine and new amount.

If you have the interface made and works fine is a good step.
About your question concerning to how extract info from controller I tell you the only data from controller you will see It will be the current jackpot incrementing no more .

All parameters in Controller will be programmed as a normal progressive jackpot.
When run this close all windows .
Once you connect J6 with the interface board to serial port in your PC, you run the multimedia and before JKT must be run.
When you see the current value in the window of JKT try to play in any slot to see increments.
If you see increments minimize and run your multimedia .
Remember it is necessary you match your multimedia with JKT. How ?  When openning power point and you choose your file look for the word LIASON JACKPOT. This is very important because this is key to combine multimedia and Jkt.

Good luck.

Hi

Tok-Ra

I do understand.

I am not experieced in visual basic so I do not know if your will connect J6.

Let see it this way:

See Con2 Check pinout on J6 or J5

1- i/o grnd
2-RxM+
3-RxM1-
4-TxM1-
5-TxM1+
6-VI/OF
Remember this is RS-422 So your controller send data to your interface only not viceversa.
Communication on both way will be only between game and controller .

Connect one to your interface board  and the other end to you PC.
On your PC:

PORT 1: COM 1
BAUD RATE : 9600
DATA BIT : 8
STOP BITS 1
PARITY NONE
FLOW CONTROL NONE.

Before running your program  you should your controller for one jackpot.
Program it with a high increment only test.
Play any slot and see increments . Increments ?
Yes then connect to your program.

Thanks and I hope this helps.
