I have a chance to obtain a nice slant top IGT reel game from a person in Reno, NV at a really good price...The problem? The seller want's me to arrange freight but after trying to get a quote from R+L I need a freight class in order to get a quote (I've never done this before, I've always had the seller arrange freight).

SO...What do you guy's recommend? I want to get a machine from Reno to the East Coast but I can't even begin to imagine the freight cost for a slant top!!! I'm guessing they are about 300(?) pounds or more.

What freight companies should I try??

Tnx

Fedex will do freight.

You can sometimes get UVL (United Van Lines) to throw a item at the back of one of their trucks and drop it off at a big discount.
Typically the trailer is doing a move and has space for other things.

There are also websites that specialize in this kind of thing that the truckers independtly frequent.
You post what you want to move and they respond. Results vary.

There are also people that want to rent Uhauls one way. Its actually cheaper to return it than to pay the drop off fee.
You could talk to the local Uhaul guys and when they get some dude that wants it East-->West you offer to bring it back and your not out of pocket.

Hope some of these ideas help.
