Can anyone tell me if there is a difference in mains from machines in 1994 to machines in 1997.  By this I mean U 15, U12, U3, U4.

If the machines are S5500's they can use the same various sets of mains available. A Bally S5000 or S5000+ would be a different matter.

Hi thanks . Would that be why when I put the mains in this 97 machine from a 94 machine the bill val. and the sound do not work.

It might be best to post pictures of both machines and both boards, as well as either closeups of the chips or details of what's on the stickers. Please Post Pictures
