the bottom board in the pic is AS-3356-160-A paper label over AS-3356-55  ( i have 3 more boards just like it) - so my question - are these both V5500 or V5000 or ???

The top photo of the board is dated 1994.
What is the date on the bottom board?
My guess is that the newest board is the V5500.

Does the newer board work in place of the older board?

i didn't want to substitute boards until I knew what I got - since the board layouts are completely different - but the games themselves look identical (wiring etc).  so - why 2 major revisions of if they are in fact both PRO VIDEO boards?  i did a clear on the board (bottom) after replacing the bad battery and game came up - accepted coins but the HOLD3 and DEAL buttons are not registering - wiring and switches are good - - so before I check wiring back to the mother board I thought I would try a know good board - well - so thats why the questions.

I had a similar problem with my V5500 and traced it to the connector at the
CPU - Back Plane.
I pulled and reinstalled the CPU board a couple times and the buttons started working.

Could the newer board be for a V-5500 Plus?

i got mine running - someone sabotaged the wiring by switching the deal button wiring!!!  since it is behind the comparitor - someone had to do it on purpose - so the game is running - still would like to know what all the differences are on the 2 boards.
