First off, Hello i'm new to slots, but have a great electronics background and arcade gamming experience. Please help a slot newbie with his problem.  I had a machine go error 12, replaced battery all was ok after 61, 61_1, jackpot turn.  I decided to preventive replacements of battery in my other machines.  However this machine game and reel roms marked SP731 http://www.newlifegames.net/igtbible/IGT%203CM/Game%20Library%20-%20S-Plus%20-%20Five%20Times%20Pay%20(3%20Coin%20Multiplier).htm wouldn't clear the error 61 after the 61_1 it would go back to 61.  So I ran a TEST123 chip on it and got it back somewhat working.  It accepts coins dollar tokens, but on any win it now sounds the jackpot bell and requires the key inserted to silence.  No credits will build on the machine.  If anyone could walk me through the basics of the menus or has an easy fix for this please let me know.

On a side note can other game/reel proms be put into this machine for a different type game play? can new reel strips be bought? <Deleted by Mod> Thanks for any advice.

John

From reading with it being an SP731 it doesn;t have hopper limits to be set; so it must be an ON/OFF somewhere. Right now it hand pays even on cherries.  I think this menu item is the info i need.

Hello and welcome!

I don't know if you have it already, but I've attached the PSR for SP731 to this message.  I would have e-mailed it to you, but your profile does not have an e-mail address.  It describes a lot of the options that are available.  Sounds like you need to set the "Player Selectable Credit <0> [5]" to "player initiated noncredit {2}".  Sounds like you also made need to change the "Max Hopper Pay <7>" and "Partial Pay Selection <8>".  I no longer have an S+ so I can't walk you step by step through the menus...maybe someone else here can help with that if you need it...

I don't think you're allowed to ask for binary files.... no that may be copyrighted material.
I may be wrong...knagl is the moderator of this particular forum and may chime in on this subject for you...

I was not asking for them, sorry if it came off that way.  In my first post I asked where I could purchase the BIN files as i have a burner and didn;t want to have to pay extra for the burning service and shipping.  Just wanted to pay for electronic delivery maybe that isn't offered.  My apologies if it appeared i wanted copyrighted stuff for nothing.

I removed it.

This isn't like arcade games. The slot industry is HUGE business and as such they have lots of lawyers and very deep pockets. The policy is no buying/selling/trading of bin files on this forum.

None of the manufacturers sell any bin files. The only way to get them is through illegal copying and we do NOT want this site associated in any way with that kind of activity.

With that being said, you can always put a wanted post in the classifieds section for a set of ROMs - just NOT bin files.

An S+ can be morphed into any other S+ theme. You simply need a game kit.
A Game Kit consists of The Game and Reel Chip, Belly Glass, Top Glass and Reel Strips.
In terms of what kits are available, may I refer you to Ricks FaQs, and select the IGT Game Bible.
This will have the various chips listed for each.

You certainly can ask to "purchase" these chips and one of our vendors will likely respond.
Please use the Classified Section for this and you will want to put out a WTB (Want to Buy) post.

We do not trade or solicit copies of binaries on the forum. What deals you make via email off the board is strictly your business.

Thanks i'll put a WTB up in classifieds after determining what other games i may want.  I'll be home to try out the above settings in an hour or so wish me luck.  Thanks again and my apologies for trouble caused.

john   first things first-----  does the machine have a bv ? if it does then you will probably have to enable it as well. do some basic house cleaning e.g. set the dip switches 1234=on 5678=off; this will allow you to program the limits that were talked about before. Then look at the switches underneath the front door panel and make sure the cash out button is wired correctly. if not then no matter what setting you program the machine for it will always pay from the hopper on any hit. you will notice that all the switches are wired the same except the cash out button. this switch has the green wire going to the common and the yellow wire going to the top contact, if your machine is like this then you can program the machine the way you want. power up the machine ,door open and press self test button 3x or until you get a 5--0 or 5--1 or5--2 in the winner paid, hopefully all your lamps work backlighting the buttons----bet 1 lit, spin lit, max lit  .press spin button each time you press the second digit should change, set it to 0.  then press your service lamp winner paid should jump to next item which is the bell if you want it off toggle the spin. pay attention to #8 & #9cycle thru till you see 1111---0000 this is the status of your dip setting. then hit bet 1 ---10-1 wp  1=cp,cycle thru to coins played=7 4 digit number should appear in winner paid with the right most flashing, hit service and it should move over one place ,move to the digit u want to change and hit the spin button. I usually set this at 1000, and the next as well  at one thousand. hope this helps  good luck

Thanks i'll check those also,  the problem isn't that it pays from the hopper.  The main problem is it doesn't put credits on or pay from the hopper.  It goes to the call attendant and the bell rings even if just cherry's come up.  If that makes a difference.

In terms of desireability Round Tops are the most popular, followed by the 16" , 9" (Less art work on the glass), Slant Top (sit down model), Drop In (ones you find built into bars).
