Did you re-install the reel glass fluorescent light?

I you sure they were made that 2 differant colors? The fluorescent light fades the glass over time the same way it fades the reel strips

Ok, I was wondering because I bought a new piece of belly glass for my Cleo and from corner to corner the old one was 2 shades lighter than the new one from fading. Thought maybe you'd run into the same issue. Maybe they went to a different supplier or printing equipment for your new one

I've noticed the difference with my reel glass in my s2000's as well. Not sure if the one I like (strips are brighter) is newer or and older  arrow It may seem like being picky, but I must say there is a drastic difference - Yes I've swapped all the glass, put in newer florescent bulbs and all glass is in good condition.

Staz, all I can say to you is: Would you rather have YOUR machines/glass or the nicotine filled/scratched up/faded ylw/cracked etc. that you find in your local casinos?!?!?!?  zzzzzzz

P.S. I remember seeing how new your strips were on that wof 5X. I was so jealous!  Crazy

Not true.  I know what you have, Where it cam from (inderectly), What parts are in it,What trim is on it etc. You was sent a picture of the center reel glass from someone and agreed it was to your liking.  You would prefer the nasty old faded stuff I guess.  Also there better not be one imperfection about it being it's used.  There were no imperfections on the picture I seen for used.  I think that glass just makes your game look bad due to the quality of it.  Maybey sears and robuck ,jc penny, western auto, otasco,or the jolly green giant-etc. can help.  Would you like for me to post the exact picture you recieved?  B.---Merry X-mas

Staz, are you talking about the windows where you would see the strips?
They're yellowed...wash them - front and back.
That's nicotine stains...

Either that or Windex and paper towels...
Use white paper towels and see how yellow they get the first wipe.

I wonder if that darker piece is "casino smoke" stained or maybe the Mylar changed tint over time from the fluorescent lighting over the years.  Perhaps it really is just a difference in design for whatever reason.  I've seen this with a few pieces that I've collected and replaced over the last few months.  Some probably wouldn't let it bother them, but my OCD couldn't deal with it.

I had a RWB top glass that had bright whites.  The belly glass had more of an off white.  I found a matching bright white belly and noticed that the IGT logo was in a different location than the off white piece.  I also have a DBL DBL Bonus top glass that has yellow lettering and and another piece that is more yellowish orange.  Tabasco and Crystal Sevens have a mix out there too.  Some C7's have yellow 7/bar symbols on the glass strips and some are a peach color.  Same with Tabasco...one of the 7's might be orange or yellow depending on the kit.

If the Clear Mylar is stained then I would have no qualms pulling out
an Exacto knife with a new sharp blade,  a steel straight edge,
and cutting it out of the window.
If one takes their time & the cutting is done good -
the results are spectacular!
Voila! Crystal clear windows again!  Cheer Leader

However,  if your hands shake like a nun in a whorehouse -
I wouldn't try it.  no

I think that it is just two different styles of reel glass. IGT must have had some reason for any difference, and they may go to different kits, but regardless, both pieces look to be in great shape to me. Those are pretty hard to get, so I would be happy to have a spare!

Staz,  You have 1st generation s-2k wof glass.  The darker glass is the newer glass.  Notice the spin logo is darker and the placement of data is in diff. places.  The top and belly glass for the newer style is also darker fyi.  Here is a picture of what you want,  I pulled this out late last night.  I do not have very much time to spare on parts etc. now with the holidays nearly here.  Merry X-mas, B.  Also as a note the glass you have staz is not smoke stained or yellow,  It was nearly brand new.
