When your chips come in...come back on here and we will run
you through the steps post-by-post if you'd like.
The whole process is not very difficult once you've done it a few times.
However, since you've never done it before, we will have to "walk" you through it.
One of THE most important things to remember is to
ALWAYS turn off the power switch whenever you remove or install an MPU board.
If not - you will be buying more chips and another MPU board.
If you can, try to post up the SP number on the Game Eprom chip.
That way we can have the information ready to check upon when you are ready
to perform the Clear and setting up of your machine.
Getting to understand how the deck buttons, test button, and reset key work together to set up an S+ is difficult at first.
It's sort of like trying to program the remote at your mother's house with the manual.
It can be done but with company around, kids screaming and little animals looking for attention - it can be lot harder that listening to Dad's theories on how to maneuver a sailboat around the windward mark in a regatta.
( okay, maybe not THAT difficult!
)
Remember, the more you can show or tell us - the better we can help you!
Don't fret about this at all - we are here to make darn sure that you get your machine up
and running the way you want it!
