My grandsons (5 and 3) are really big into trains. They have every Thomas set and train out there and then some. They both can name every one of the trains, tell you what type they are and all. It has been this way since they were both 1. We have had the battery operated Christmas train for around the tree for the past few years, The little cheap remote control one you see everywhere and they sit for hours playing with it. So this year I splurged a little and went to a high end shop around here and bought us (ME) a very nice set of Lionels. The grandkids are going to be shocked !!! and the wife too when see finds out what I paid for them  frying pan frying pan frying pan. The sad part was I got them home and was looking at the box and noticed down in the lower corner is small type  "Made in China"  WTF!!!  Here I thought what better than a nice Quality made set of American Lionel Trains.
Just a little dissapointed. no

Merry Christmas !!!

My father bought me a really nice mini-HO scale set when I was a kid.
One day I decided to oil them.
Who knows why...I was like 8 or 9 yrs old!  rotflmao

Anyways, Mom had a can of 3-In-1 ( or was it "4-In-1"? ) sewing machine oil.

Boy the trains started go fast Walking The Dog  ...but they wouldn't stop and I had smoke too!   Cool!  Cool Thumbs-Up

BUT...then they smelled really funny...and they never , ever worked again.
You could say my father was "just a little disappointed" in me... bust gut laughing
