I have a 044 board that plays fine after you clear it.Turn the machine back on after a hour or so and still good.Leave it sit overnight and wont boot.2nd amber light from the left not lit.If I clear the board works fine again.
I replaced the round "watch" battery so far, still does it.Would it be the other battery thats bad?
Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Do you have another 044 board to try?  I was thinking heat too, but if you can reset it and it goes back to normal, I suspect the board might have a problem.

Machine works fine with another board.

That's good Laneman!  applause
I'd leave it on for a couple of days to see if the problem comes back.
If not, then you'll narrow it down to the other MPU board.

If the problem comes back even with this new board in -
then the problem may possibly lie with a power supply?  Scratch Head 3

Thanks bunker. Its just one of my LED's that arent lit.

The problem I described is with the legacy piggy back installed.
The second amber LED right of the test switch will also go out if I have a Flashboard installed. Its on when the machine boots but goes out when its "zero checking flash".

Not sure if this helps or not..... I have been told that using the legacy adapter board you MUST use US juristiction software and that INTL software will not work. Do you have a different 3902 set that you can try? Do you have another legacy adapter board you can try? Also I do not think you told us if the machine works fine with an 044 flash game?

Just some out loud thoughts.... I hope you can get it fixed!

Thanks Captain...

The  044 board acts up with a Flashboard or a Legacy board.Ive tried different software also, its definitely something wrong with the 044 board itself.

I have seen this a few times, the board is the issue and needs repair.

It can be fixed.
