I just purchased this machine and the screen had "Safe Clear Ram.  So I replaced the battery and performed a Safe Ram.  The machine will accept some coins and reject others, I get this message “GAME DISABLED – COIN or BILL REVERSE”.  I open and close door to reset machine and message is gone, insert a few more coins and message reappears.  Any ideas how to resolve this problem?  ?  It has a cc62 comparator.

Thanks John

On that cc62 try turning the sensitivit to the left counter clockwise.
It's located in the lower R/H corner of the cc62.

See if that helps.

Thanks for help, I got to work and accept coins without errors or rejected coins by adjusting a slide on the comparator.  It must of had to much slop as the coin went through.

Congrats on resolving the issue!  It sounds like that the coins weren't always hitting all of the optics as they fell through the coin-in hardware, resulting in that message.  Adjusting the path so they would fall cleanly through (without being able to fly all over the place) sounds like the right solution.  Good job!
