Got a IGT S+ machine in a home setting and am finding myself unlocking and using onboard power switch quite a bit. I am also unplugging from wall when not in use. Seems like a bit of a pain fumbling with the keys and may promote wear to keys, locks and machine in general. I have a power strip/surge protector with a switch on it and was wondering if there is any harm in leaving the machine onboard switch in the on position and using the power strip switch to power the machine up and down for use? Any response or ideas would be greatly appreciated....

Like Buzz said, power strip or electronics grade surge protector works fine. Very little reason to open the machine then. Flipping the switch on the power strip has no ill effect on the machine

I use Furman power  filters, surge protectors on all my electronics.
Cheaper than purchasing new boards or other parts.
I usually use the switch but I normally  leave them on 24/7 unless changing kits..
