Everything was working fine. I did a saferam clean and when I started the game maker up again, the bill acceptor keeps making sounds... the thing in the back keeps winding up and going back down. Any Ideas?

Pull the cash box out & put it back in. Make sure it's in all the way .See if that helps

I entered the wrong bill acceptor in the settings... all is well now... Thanks for the tips though.

FYI:  i had a game maker the BV kept cycling -everything else on the machine worked ok.
-eventually traced it to the power supply -it was the -12v leg (was only putting out -6v)

ballys game maker has worked fine for years unpluged for about 3 months have a buyer then plugged it it  the dbv keeps cycling the hopper has  a red and green light blinking and the monitor flashes on and off at the same pace as the dbv and hopper lights I tried reset button tried hopper in and out and removed and replaced stacker box had to turn it on to get it out seemed it was in the middle of a cycle when I turned it off. Im frustrated Would a battery cause this much problems?  I know someone out there is going to give me the right answer and life will go on  with a donation to NLG under there name   thanks Cry Laughing

I have never seen it happen  Sherlock Smiley but all kinds of weird things Hippo Dance happen when the battery gets low.

if the battery is low, you get a blue screen with message: saferam fail

if the battery is dead, the screen flashes and bill validator cycles.

the battery is ALWAYS the first thing you check when a slot has a catastrophic malfunction.
