I just replaced the battery on my board and reset the 61 & 61-1 error codes...  After a while of playing (and a power outage - not sure if that has any relevance), I started getting an error code 49...  It cleared itself a couple of times but, I am now stuck on error code 49...  I looked it up and discovered it is supposed to be a "reel mechanism discconnected" error...  Any ideas about how to fix???  Thanks in advance for any advice!

Well, let's start with the simple stuff first.  With the power off, check all of the reel harnesses to make sure they're plugged in securely.  You may want to go so far as to disconnect and reconnect each harness.  Also, trace the wiring back to the motherboard and ensure that the connector(s) are firmly connected there.  For kicks, remove your MPU board and take a look at all of the pins that plug into the motherboard to ensure none of them are bent, then firmly put it back into the machine.

From there, power up the machine and see if the issue is any better.

I don't think the power outage had anything to do with the error [49] code.
We get power outages here all the time and NEVER have any problems.
Try pulling each connector out on the reels and re-seat them.
oops knagl already said that...okay...I'm thinking...  Scratch Head 3

Hey!  idea light bulb  If you have a can of compressed air, blow the dust out of the reel optics!
