I'm trying to change my DD Mine game into a pinball game.

I put in the pinball chips, and the drive for the top box.

I first do a clear 97 and get the two lights on the mpu
then I to a key 17 and get two lights on the mpu

with the game sb in I get a ram error, then an eeprom error - press the little magic button for 3 seconds but then get this

error which I can't get rid of.

 hissy fit

I have also tried a 224 clear chip - however this boots the mpu but stops waiting for netplex.   The top box displays initializing please wait.

What RFA is in the machine?  Also, use a key 31 with SG380, not 17.

Open the back of the LCD and to the left of the memory stick you will see a set of jumper pins.  I think it's labeled JP1.....put a jumper on it.  Now boot the machine up and the LCD will display what it is doing when the machine boots.  It should tell you what RFA is in the firmware.  Also, how much memory in in that LCD?  It will tell you that too when you boot.  Make sure no cards in the side of the LCD, the card should be in the top.

Some photos of what you are getting may help figure out what the problem is.

What Gm1 and 2 chips are you using?  Like Idesign says you need to be using 380's with that title and you should also be using a VSo11GX1 version chip.

I would start questioning the ATA on the flash card and the SB chip then.

Yeah from what I've learned  pinball requires
ata10065 (this I can't Check cause it's on the card)
With game 380

The 380 requires clear 224

This is where I'm getting stuck - the clear 224
hangs waiting for the top box and the top
box hangs with initializing, please wait...

With the 224 you never get both lights on the MPU? Which MPU are you using? 502, 504 or 1270 enhanced?

Success!  -  It was a corrupt SB Chip - I verified that the checksum was wrong - replaced it with a new one and it's up and running!

I think the mpu has sound issues though - hear that sound pulsing during each spin - a similar sound problem that I was having with DD Mine.

I have a question I could probably solve on my own by going through my computer
but I just changed my 10-button deck back to a regular deck.

My s2000 hasn't had a regular deck in over a year! - I've forgotten!

Where dos that long black harness from the button deck go to? lol Thanks!
It has the black plastic corrugated cover over the wires. with a 12-pin Molex and a 2-pin (red & green wires) Molex.

ADD>>> no...I remember now.
It goes up around the top of the door over to the reel glass display.
