so i have the DBA 13 or what ever it is that came in my IGT, and it isn't a socket DBA and needs updated, so i was wondering about just buying an UBA-10-SS from ebay and installing it.

any ideas how difficult that might be?

can it be done in the S2000?

TIA

It absolutely can be done... I have never gone from a DBV to a uba but I know that UBA's work fine in the s2000's.

You will need the uba, housing and cashbox, a harness and bezel. That is assuming that the old bezel on the door will fit with the uba's new bezel.

And last is the flash. JCM is kind enough to provide the software suite on their website free of charge but you will either have to find someone with the igt specific flash for the UBA or buy it from a vendor ($100). Make sure you get the right version i.e. UBA 10-ss and IGT (ID-024 I think).

Is the DBV the same as a wba?

Yep it is USA UBA-10 ID024 V2.06-21 for IGT's right now.

Also I forgot to mention if your computer is running 64-bit OS then you'll have a hell of a time getting the jcm tool suite to run. I had to use an old xp computer to get any results.

I have never heard of an s2000 with a dbv bill exceptor. Are you shure that your machine is an s2000 and not an s+. Or if you have a wba 13 you should easily be able to find a replacement thats updated for new bills without having to replace the whole assy.
