I have  good working Bucks Ahoy... only issue I've been having is when  turned off /  turned on...  it goes, eventually,   to  Touch Screen  calibration set up...

I  changed the  2032  coin Battery in the  top box... no change.  Once I do the simple

TS  Calib...  machine works perfect.

? ? ?   any ideas ?     Thanks.

Is THAT what that big green battery is for?
I didn't know that!  Cool Thumbs-Up
Is it to save memory stuff in on the Reel Touch platform?

The green battery runs the Tattle Tale Circuits
It basically detects:
Power off card cage access.
depending on how a S2000 is configured by IGT it can detect when a tech unlocks the mpu and removes it.
Power off slot door access.
Power off cash box door access.
Power off drop door access.

If you have a top box computer and the touch screen is part of the computer check the battery in it.

He states he already changed that battery. I don't know if the green battery directly affects topbox memory, but on a game with a 1270 MPU and a bad green battery I've also had coinsiding touchscreen memory issues until the battery was changed. Coinsidence? Maybe, I only had the issue once, but after replacing the battery the other issue disappears until I don't turn the game on for a week or more. Then I have it again till the games been turned back on on a more regular basis.

I'll dig around and find a NiCad and replace bat on  Main CPU.  If it  "fixes"  the problem  will get back.

Thanks.

(I just picked up  8 of these  Reel Touch machines...They should have called them  "Reel  Touchy"  machines)

Since it is a reel touch
he has 3 batteries
2 on MPU and one in the top box computer, (its just a simple PC with Embedded Windows XP)

He changed the topbox battery, that's the 2032. If he's using a 1270 board, then his MPU battery is a 2354. I forget what battery the 504 board uses and I'm not home to look. I sure don't know if I'm right, just relating my experiences
