Just got a pair of 5-reel multi-denom S2000 machines (RedHot Triple 777 & Double Triple Butterfuy 7's).  LOVE THEM.  The meter runs constantly, but that's kinda a given.  When I power them up I almost always get reel tilts on the initial boot-spin.  Not always the same reel, and sometimes more than one reel.  I just lift and lower the door lock lever again and again and again until all 5 reels decide to spin without one of them randomly tilting.  Once this happens, the machine play perfectly with no tilts at all.  Both machines have this behavior and it only happens on power up.  Normal?

Thanks
Dean

Shot in the dark here, but you might check the door optics for alignment. Also, where they where just moved recently, turn the machines OFF and check that ALL circuit boards are seated snuggly. Random reel tilts can commonly be traced to door optics that aren't aligning properly when the door is latched. Sometimes it's because they're misaligned and sometimes because the latch isn't pushed all the way down. S2000 doors can be funny that way

Having refurbed 100's of S2000 machines now, I have seen this quite frequently with the 5 reel machines. One reel will not spin up. Then after a reset, a different reel will not spin properly and this could last through 3-4 resets but once they all spin up the machine runs perfectly.

Yep.  That is what I'm seeing.  Exactly as you describe it.  Both my 5-reel machines do it.  Those are the only S2000's I have.

Dean  Take a look and see which set of SG ( game ) chips you have.  I had a lot of trouble with SG000155 and reel tilts. Mine were all 3 reel machines and once they started with the tilts the only way I found to cure the problem was switch them to SG000363. Let me be clear I have some machines with SG000155 and have no problem with them. Two machines come to mind, they are twins Triple Stars 3 coin 9" same color cabinet, one will tilt with 155s and the other one doesn't. And yes I cleaned the reel optics.
