I bought a slat top igt model # igc36ci9 red white and blue set for 5 cents dbv-145 played it for a couple years in game room
got a #12 error repaced the battery got 61 pushed test switch got 61-1 turned key on front panel . now turn it on dbv whirls about 6 time but doesn't light up . Did alot of reading here so took dbv out and front cover off to clean sensors and found only three of the wires connected to the board e1 green e2 orange e3 orangeand three orange wires unhooked green wire wire labeled 1 5 orange wires wire labeled 2 to 6
so my questions are
how to tell what kind of game s or s+

if i get it repaired would like to change game and add coin mec and coin hopper any help would be appreciated

it is an S+, S do not have Bill Validator.

Game change requires you to buy a Slant top game kit (which will have the glass, reel strips, Reel (SS) chip and maybe the Game (SP) Chip

Which harness is it.
It might be easier to replace that harness (if is the one I am thinking about that is on the right side of the head)

You may need a Set Chip (without knowing what SP chip you have (thinking 731, or 1271)
We need to know what SP and SS chip you have in the machine

Open the door, not sure where the test/attendant button is on a slant top but press it until you see a 4 in the coins played windows post back the two 4 digit numbers that cycle on the display.

Have you tried to play it? On some SPs the candle will blink until  you play the first game after opening the door. The candle has nothing to do with the BV working or not.

More info on what it is or is not doing will help.

Also see this post and watch the videos and listen to the DBV cycling sounds to help determine what may be wrong with the DBV.
