1492 monitor in a pe slant top.  the picture is great, color and sharpness is fine, except the far left card is only about half the width (horiz) as the other four cards on the screen.
the blue background covers the whole screen, (just the playing cards and payscale on left.)
machine has been in a warm storage container for quite a while so i think its just caps,

-any idea which cap(s) need attention?

You might try one of these repairs, from; http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=11201.0

Problem; Horizontal too narrow.
Solution; Repl. 185 transistor.

Problem 2; Horiz. won't adjust to center of screen.
Solution 2; Repl. 123 (Auto Bias IC).
