I turned on my Fortune one just now and it had a "coin time out" error. This has happened before and I'm not sure why. I can reset it with the reset switch by turning the key clockwise till I hear the micro switch click. However, tonight for whatever reason (too much wine?), I turned the switch counterclockwise and it STUCK, holding the switch in. The tab had jammed and had bent the switch, keeping it in. I opened the door and unjammed the switch and bent it back into shape. The machine reset...BUT now it has over 3000 coins in CREDIT! And...it's paying out automatically with each win. The other thing it's doing is electronically "dinging" with the payout, which I LIKE! I had no idea it could do this.
Anyone know what the hell I did and how to erase the 3000 credits? I guess I could just keep playing...and I do like the immediate payout. But I'd like to know how to get it back to where it was.
I am looking through my manual right now but would like to hear if this has happened to anyone else. Also, the payout sound is the "siren" sound.
UPDATE: I did remove the battery and the credits remained...I probably need to leave it out longer. I'll play some more and leave the battery out overnight.

I wish I could!!! I still have no idea why that occurred. I even tried to duplicate the problem and just held the switch in, but I didn't get 3000 more! Left the battery out for 5 minutes and it cleared everything up. I still would like anyone's ideas as to why it went into an "autopay" mode. It was kind of fun!
