The board had an abvious palette problem: all the colors where under LSD  arrow
i scoped around anf found that one 2018 ram was missing one data bit.
replacing the ram fixed the palette problem.

sometimes the starting background is not black but other color but the rest of the game the colors are fine.
one side not: you can clearly see when the palette gets changed on the left black bar on the screen. i think this is normal as i read it somewhere in a mame driver source code. so adjust your monitors accordingly.

when the board heated up the sprites where showing sparkling pixels on their edges, replaced a 'LS368 near the xtal to fix the problem.
