Unless you have the clear (zero) chip for it, understand that once you enroll the machine, you're likely going to be stuck with the game and denomination settings you currently have it set to forever.

Change the game settings in the menus if you want to use $.25 games. Make sure to have all of the doors open and the CPU drawer pulled out slightly to access all of the menus.

The game will not accept coins or bills in the demo mode.

I have all the doors open and the cpu draw open.

aia go into the game setting and it wont let me change it to .25

It is on .05

I have not enroll it yet...

It is still in demo mode....

Could it be because i dont have a hopper in it???

No, because the hopper assembly is the same (just the shelf and pinwheel would be different).

The games aren't labeled as $.05 or $.25 as I recall - you have to look at the checksum and compare it to the game list to see what denomination each game selection is.

I'll try and get you some documentation. I would not enroll it without the hopper unless you have the clear/zero chip to be able to undo it. Do you have that chip or access to it?

I've sent you the only documentation I have.

Food for thought:

  • In the game setup screen, game IDs that end with a 4 are the $0.25 games, where game IDs that end with a 0 are $0.05 games.  Make sure you've selected only games with IDs that end in a 4.

    For example:

Select Jacks or Better with the ID 00C4 for the 98.5% $0.25 Jacks or Better game.

  • Since you do not have access to a clear (zero) chip for the machine, ensure that EVERYTHING is set to how you want it prior to enrolling the machine.  Depending on the software, you may or may not be able to make changes to the game configuration after the machine is enrolled.  Set passwords, make sure your games are set up exactly how you want them in the main menu, set the correct type (brand) of bill validator, etc.

  • Take your time enrolling the machine.  Make sure you understand each and every screen and set the options correctly.  For example, if you have $0.25 coin handling (coin head and hopper), make sure to select that you have a $0.25 hopper.  Do NOT attempt to enable the multi-denomination ($0.05/$0.25) setting -- I could never get it to work properly, which leads me to...

  • You get exactly one chance to enroll the machine.  The ONLY way to "un-enroll" it and return to the demo mode is to use the clear (zero) chip which you don't have.  The chips are nearly impossible to find.  In other words, don't screw it up when you enroll it!  yes

Good luck!
