I've never had this game before....1st time at the rodeo.

I'm getting the dreadful Vision "ERROR: There's Some Required Components Missing"
and the red screen of death....  knockout
I'm thinking that my RFA10025 OS is too old to run the game?
Are there newer ones for the Vision platform?
I wish the machine at least told me what in the world is "missing"??? hissy fit
Guess you gotta be a slot tech to know this one... rotflmao

I'm trying to get my Vision Muster Match up.
It's the round top with purple glass.
Here's what's installed...>>>

SB000414 3R5L5CM
SG000380 GME1&2
VS011GX1
DSV000020

Side LCD Slot: Had the RFA10025 OS (operating system) uploaded
Top LCD Slot: Have a 64MB flash card with 4 folders named:
ATA10055
BGM00000
BGM00141
DATA

What could I be missing?

Thanks for any help on this....  Hail

That's good. Thanks BR!  applause
Kudo's plus to you!
I have the same stuff but my SG GME1&2 chips differ
even though the PSR sheet shows that it supports the Munster Match game.
Something's wrong but I can put my finger on it other than I may need an
up-graded RFA OS card that goes into the side slot of the LCD computer for the initial Boot Up.

I'm using the RFA10025 version for the computer.
I don't know what your SM9FLATA20TIGT  operating system version is? RFA100009 maybe?
That would actually be an older OS version.
The only way to know is to see the RFA version number on the 2nd screen as it boots up.
I gotta dig around for more info I guess...

Below is a screen snapshot of my LCD during Boot Up of the game.
You can clearly see that I have the RFA10025 OS operating system installed on my LCD computer.
Plus I highlighted it!  rotflmao

I googled "SM9FLATA20TIGT" and got a hit on the internet as...>>>

http://www.vendio.com/stores/Mem-store.com/item/flash-memory/new-20mb-pcmcia-ata-flash-card/lid=7508120

I called them up...turns out that they're from the UK and the cards have been erased! bawling
They are selling them as blanks and did NOT save any info/data that was on them..... no
Those were, at one time,  IGT OEM RFA cards!!!! Duh!

Plus everybody else sells blank CF ATA flash cards for about $16 with free shipping
and this dummy wants $48 for an erased blank!  frying pan

Guys were asking me how to back up their cards.
It's a no brainer...get one of these puppies...cost about $5...>>>

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Belkin-PCMCIA-Cardbus-PCI-Interface-Card-Adapter-/220958717552?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item33722a7670

They go right into an empty PCI slot on a desktop computer motherboard.
And if you have a hard time getting the larger cards, they make adapter cards where the smaller memory flash cards fit right into...>>>

Are those cards ever actually erased or are the first couple bits of the file just removed to prevent access?

No idea cowboy... arrow
The guy told me that they were "erased" so they could be sold to the public.
They just didn't remove the labels.

Just wondering Bunker. I know on your computer harddrive when you "delete" a file the computer just removes the first few bits of the file to prevent access. I didn't know if a guy could plug one into his computer and add those bits back to make it work again

Being IGT I would bet they use the same protocol on all their similar software so the initial access part of the program would probably be written the same as the program from a similar game. Just a thought Scratch Head Kind of like how a lot of chidrens books start out with "Once upon a time..."

Maybe not, just a thought...

Well, I don't want to waste $48 bucks on something
that might be no good and partially or completely erased!
I'm going to place an ad for the SG's.
I think I have most of the software.

Got it working!  yes
Had the wrong flash card & version chip configurations.  Duh!

I am verifying that the "Munster Match" Vision game works fine using:

SB chip:  SB000414 on a 502 MPU
SG pairs: SG000380 GME1&2 or SG000248 GME1&2
Version:  VS009GX0 w/SG000248 or SG000380.
             VS001GX1 w/SG000380 only
MMLBII sound SIMM stick: DSV000020 or SNDF00020
OS side-slot card: RFA10025
Top-slot game card: ATA10065, BGM00141, BGM0000, DATA

I don't know about other MPU, other Version chips, other RFA's, or other ATA versions.
I do have a few RFA, ATA, and Version chips to test with later on...
I do not own a 504 or later MPU.
I simply haven't tried them...uh...yet!  rotflmao

rotflmao I programmed it to my ATA10065 printer file folder!
Every flash card has a printer sound folder.
All you do is change it to whatever you want.
Remember, a flash card is just like an old memory card for a camera.
Mine don't have the fancy, schmancy IGT stickers on them...just a plain ol' "Compact Flash 48KB" sticker on it! lol
They were very common about 10 years ago for digital photgraphy.
It's no different and there's absolutely nothing special about them - they're just CF memory sticks really.
You can save your pictures to it then pull it off to save them on your computer right?
Same deal here but it's .wav sounds instead of .jpeg pictures.

Soooo....I grabbed a sound byte off the internet somewhere, edited it to fit the time allotted to the cashout sound (about 76kb),
stuck in to printer sound folder but it's still named "Printer 1" so the computer "finds" it.
Whenever the computer calls for the file that has the "Printer 1" - it plays whatever sound you put in there!

You can change any sound you want with a Vision machine....that's why I like playing around with them.
I particularly like the show ending sound theme from the Beverly Hillbillies as last thing I hear when I leave the machine -
it's a fitting sound to hear when cashing out..."Y'all come back now!"   Tongue Out

Can you also install your own custom sounds for the reel spin sounds, roll uo sounds, etc?
