I have been offered this Sigma Easy Emerald slot machine, but its showing a wrong ram message in the display since the battery has been replaced. Before buying this machine from the seller I wanted to check on here to what will need to be done to clear and keep the message away? It works if you open the door and push a button then enable the bill validator, but once powered off you have to do it all over again the next time... Now remember this is what the seller has told me, I don't have the machine here, just the 2 pics posted.. Is this fix as simple as getting a clear or setup chip? The other question is can the bill validator up dated for new money?? This is a 2 slot machine package, but the second one is a Bally 5000   Duh! muted  that is said to work. I can get both for about $300 total...

Thanks Gary

If it's jammed, force it... If it breaks it needed to be replaced anyway...

Gary,   it looks like a SIGMA, SG-32   I'm gauging that by the banner with Harrah's  name on it. they came from New Orleans, Harrahs temp. casino.

that board did not have a battery on it, they used a very slow rate discharge capacitor for there ram backup voltage. usually just turning the reset key on the side of the machine would clear it, if the machine would sit for long extended period , then you would have to reset it, not just power down and power up again. if they put a battery in place of the cap. ?????   there was some discussion a few weeks ago about the same thing, somebody had a stars and stripes machine and wanted to change the cap.  has pictures of it.
should be in the Sigma reels section.

the BV was a 145, so you should be able to update to a 200, don't know what version they released for a IDO -011 (which was SIGMA and I think Williams--this is from memory,so I could be wrong on the Williams part). Sigma is out of business, so you will have to find parts from other sources.
Bally 5000   you need a keypad to reset options when the battery goes dead. the power supplies went out often, needed different versions of clear chips and procedures for different cpu boards. SOooooo!!!!??????

Hope this helps

Jim
