Different Style IGT cabinets

Hello all,

I see all the talk about IGT's cabinets on here and I know what an S2000 Slant, S2000 Upright, AVP upright and AVP slant is but what is a S+, Game King, iGame and so on?

Is there a place that has a pic of each of these cabinets to help distinguish them, or does anyone have pics of these to share? Being new to the IGT cabinet scene, it is a little daunting to try to figure out what goes with what.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

IGame or S2000 Slant cabinet.

17" I-Game 3902 top picture and 044 bottom.  Same cabinet, just different board and back plane setups.  Note....to answer your one question....these are "Game King" cabinets.  But also can be separated and called I-Game or I-Game plus cabinets.  The only difference is that an I-Game has a single row of buttons and used typically for poker games where as the I-Game plus cabinet has a double row of betting buttons on the deck and typically used for video slot type games.

Not to confuse things, but here is a Game King poker game in a Game King I-Game plus cabinet.

And your last question...an S-Plus is the IGT reel slot that came one generation prior to the current S2000 Platform.  A few primary differences would be that the S2000 adds features like enhanced stereo sound, backlit reels, and a few more headaches in troubleshooting them as well.

Ok, its coming together. The s2000 had an upgrade to an enhanced board. That board is called a i960 because of the processor?

The s2000 came in gold and then black wrinkle later?

After the s2000 came the avp rightb then avp 3.0 which was an upgrade kit or converted cabinet?

So looks like I am working with gold s2000's, gold s2000 game kings (or igame) s2000 uprights, avp slants 2.5 and avp upright 3.0's

The gold or chrome doesn't matter...they were available for all platforms as well as them being in sit-down "slant" versions.
Same thing for uprights, round tops, flat tops,etc.etc.

This is what I'm guessing timeline of the various IGT platforms...I'm going by memory...not facts...>>>

Straight S (no bill acceptors): circa 1982 or so
S+(Non-embedded DBV's): circa 1983 or 1984
S+: with bill acceptors around 1984 or 1985
S2000: first seen around 1998 or 1999
S2000 Visions: about a year later
Reel Touch: Bigger topbox LCD screen than a Vision machine but with touch screen capabilities.
I-Games: I would guess about 2003 ? First dedicated video games...physical reels are gone.
I-Game+: probably 2004 more upgraded computer junk really to enhance the slightly better graphics.
AVP's: Circa 2006 or 2007  Super fast computers and drastically redesigned super fast physical reel systems and even better graphics.
AVP+: Upgraded the next year...computers and better video graphics....gone are the coin mechs.

Poker series came in various platforms as well as other games like blackjack, keno, bingo, etc.etc.
Same thing with Barcrests....just giant topboxes 31" + high - like the Wheel Of Fortunes and so on.

Anyone is welcome to correct this...I'm am 100% sure it's not 100% accurate...

Perect Bunker! A timeline, why didn't I think of that?  So what exactly is a s2000 vision?

The Vision platform came out right around the S2000's...
They were the first ones using both reels and video LCD screens.
Very primitive bonus round games but nevertheless, a little more fun and different from what we were seeing in the S+'s.
The S+"s had Bonus rounds too in the early Barcrest 16" topbox versions - but not yet in video form.

The Reel Touches were similar but with better computers and larger LCD Touch screens with better bonus rounds.
I never saw a Reel Touch sit-down slant machine though...they were all "uprights" with big 31" round topboxes.

Vision or Vision Ready was designed before the end of 1997 (not sure when they went into full production)
My machine mfg date is 01/98 a vision ready cabinet.
I do remember seeing Visions in Colorado Central Station Casino  and The Lodge Casino in Blackhawk, CO, in mid to late 1999
Red White and Blue with Racing 7's and Double Diamond based one,
The Lodge Casino had Wild Cherry Pie (CCSC may have had one as well but I cant remember)

The S2000 came out after the Vision and Vision Ready

Technically speaking Visions and S2000 are the same platform but there are differences
The top box is the big giveaway between any Vision and the S2000
Vision has internal speakers in the top boxes with a sound port that comes out the front edge of the sides of the top box next to the player tracking panel.   
Some parts are different internally: Harnesses, other parts changed or added to the S2000, some internal main cabinet differences -  IGT has even revised the S2000 cabinet over the years.

I think IGT after they came out with a particular revision or design changes of the vision they decided to call it the S2000 to relate to the year 2000 for what ever reason.
50x series MPU are labeled Super Stepper Controller
Maybe another name for the Vision/S2000 platform that just didn't make it past marketing.
Enhanced MPU is the only MPU that I see labeled S2000 cant speak for the 530 if it is a another S2000 MPU how its labeled.
