Game: Bally  Alpha  (CineReel)  3 reel Black Gold Wild  with a 5 Quick Hits progressive.     I'm having a small problem setting up the   5 progressives... keep getting Invalid Progressive Amount.   What are the minimum Progressive  settings for this game ?     Game flash card ID:   ASGQHBG31001-01
  In the set up,   the (base) game minimum denom allowed is   10c. (if the denom base makes any difference)

I didn't post this in the progressive section since  all game format settings are to be made in the initial setup phase after a game clear.

Any Help ?   Thanks.

I'm having the same problem setting up the quick hit progressives in my machine. I hope someone can chime in so everyone who gets a Bally alpha with progressives can set them up. They are a lot of them hitting the home market now.

I actually got my Alpha Qhick Hit to work... I put in crazy high  limits for each progressive.

 ttth Problem with this is that after someone actually hits one of the progressives it will try to reset to the base amount which you first entered as "a crazy high amount" and then the game will lock up with an error "invalid progressive amount".

 Nerd The progressive amounts are created based on the Max Bet for the machine that you are setting up.  So it's important that you set up your machine in this order after a full clear:

Devices

Credit

Time

Game

Serial - Progressives

Printer (CA Tribal jurisdiction chip needed)

Each tier starting from the top is calculated by using the following formula :

Top Award JP0 =  Max Bet x 2500

JP1= Max Bet x 1000

JP2 = Max Bet x 100

JP3 = Max Bet x 50

Bottom Award JP4 = Max Bet x 10

And then I would suggest the following percentages of "take" set up for each percentage:

JP0 =  0.1%

JP1 = 0.2%

JP2 = 0.3%

JP3 =0.4%

JP4 = 0.5%

Here's an example.  Lets say we have our machine set up as a 1 Cent (penny) denomination for 30 lines of play and up to 5 credits per line.  So our Max Bet is $1.50.

Your amounts for each tier should be as follows:

JP0 =  $3,750.00

JP1 = $1,500.00

JP2 = $150.00

JP3 = $75.00

JP4 = $15.00

As a side note, I don't believe you can set these up for multi-denomination, at least from my experience with them.

Thanks... that helps quite a bit.    Have to get out my calculator  and slide rule  now.

 On a side note...   after setting the high limits on the progressive... I played and did hit lower progressives !  Progressive "paid"  to credits and reset to the "base"  that I had set.   No lockup...no errors.    At least I was able to play the game to get the idea of the game "action and play".

That's interesting to hear since my locked up.  Would be curious to know your flash number / year version for both your game and OS and compare to mine.  For home use would be nice to increase the progressive amounts if you can.

Thanks, that does help out a lot. So I have my machine set up to .25 and the max bet is 5 credits, so my max bet would be $1.25 x each jackpot amount mentioned above. I will try this again using the formula above and see what happens.

I'm still getting an invalid progressive amount error. Since my machine is only a 5 credit machine set to .25, I put in the progressives as follows:

Jp1 3,125
Jp2 1,250
Jp3 125.
Jp4 62.50
Jp5 12.50

And I set the contribution to:

Jp1 0.1
Jp2 0.2
Jp3 0.3
Jp4 0.4
Jp5 0.5

My machine is a Black and White Sevens with 5 quick hit jackpots. When I go into setting the progressive amounts my jp starts at 1, not 0. That's the only difference, but I don't think that is the problem.

My os is:  AVOS00000326-00 11/05/2008
My game is:  ASGQHBW31001-00 09/21/2007

I set the progressive controller to internal as well... What I'm I missing?

Ok, so this may help anyone else with a quick hit progressive Bally Alpha.

I got it working by setting the jackpot amounts as follows:

Jp1  5000
Jp2. 2000
Jp3. 500
Jp4. 200
Jp5. 50

That seems to work great on all 3 quick hits I had to set up today. I hope this helps out someone.

Interesting...so the payouts for the 3-Reel QH progressive scale is different than the 5-reel which makes sense.  Can you post a picture of the payout screen like I did above?
