Does anyone have a manual that has the dip switch and jumper settings on the MPU for the Bally V5000 video poker machines?
My manual is only the Installation Manual and that's all I see posted here on the site also.

All I get is a green screen and it reads Personality error
Don't know if it just need a ram clear?
Any help that might lead me in the right direction would be helpful.   wave

Thanks for the updated info.
I was looking for the switches for the 27C256 and 27C512   Hail Hail Hail

If anyone has the maintenance and repair manual chapter 5 should explain all the functions of these switches.

neon    This AS-3356-203 board is the same as I have in what I call V5500. Now which one of us is right or wrong I don't know. Mine are Model VPOKOS-15  12/93  (4 of them)   I'm pretty sure they had paper work inside of them when I got them calling them V5500.   I have a V5500 Operator Inst. Manual   The dip settings already posted are the same as my manual. no that's not right.  If you change switch 2 to switch 3 it will be right. the other 4 switches are for denomination.  for .25 cents set 2,4,6 off 7 on  Buzz

slots of fun   The manual I have  Bally Gaming V-5500 Plus  Operators Instructions Manual  1993 second page bottom FO-5620.  Kind of makes you think 5000 & V5500 use the same manual. Buzz

All right now I'm going to really confuse you.   Scratch Head

My machine is VPOK03-00-P050, The front player panel has a very large casting that is raised and reads 5000 Plus It was MFG on 9-29-89. It does use the AS-3356-203 board. It is up and running with that board installed.
I also have a Bally Pro 5500 Reel slot and it uses the AS-3356-201 (A totally different board)
I have a manual for the V5000 and looking through it their appears to be 3 boards in a stack like the V1000 and V2000 used, But nothing like what I have.
I have a keypad for doing the programing of my machine, but have been un-successful at using it. I can only program the options using the on-screen menus.
I think that has to do with the mains used. (newer mains use on-screen, older mains use the keypad)

Was there a V5000 and a V5000 Plus ?

Neon   All of my machines are slant tops single game video poker. now I quote the V5500 manual (It's the only one I have) Personality Error = The "personality" EPROM is not the same as that at first power-up. SAFERAM procedure must be completed to clear this tilt. Now this manual tells you to do a seferam clear but doesn't tell you how. I bought a clear chip from Ben months ago and still don't know how to use it.   Scratch Head Scratch Head  Buzz
