do you guys leave machine on all the time?

just wondering if you guys leave your machine on all the time or do you turn it off when your done playing.also thinking about buying tokens is there a specific token i need or will any quarter size one work and wheres a good place to purchase some.oh yeah i have a igt s- double diamond 25 cent machine, thanks

There's arguments both ways, but my personal preferance is to turn it on when I want to use it and trun it off when I go to bed, it's easier on the electronics. Yeah, they were made to run 24/7 in casinos, but casinos don't keep them very long. As far as tokens go, any will work. Get ahold of Fanini slots from the home page, he's always done me right

It absolutely affects payouts. If it ain't playin' then it ain't payin' But as far as leaving it on or turning it of, no, has no bearing on how well it'll pay out. The installed chipset determines what the payback percentage will be on an S+, might be you just have a lower payback chip in it

Not sure what chip i have but its my first machine so still learning but its like any other slot machine I've  ever played you lose 90% of the time. Whats the difference in s+ machine than s- like i have? Heres a pic got it at an auction for 250$

The picture you posted is a S+.  S does not have a BV.  (Paper money)

And IGT didn't make an S- if that's what you wrote. Only time I've seen an S- was back in high school on my earth science final exam

acording to your picture of the machine.....you have a 5 coin double diamond.
So when you open the machine.....either on the left side....or behind the coin
hopper in the back will be what looks like a blank piece of aluminum with a knob in the center.
This is the processor board.  It slides up aboout 1/2" then pulls out.
Flip it over and there are 2 chips....   U52 (game)  and U 53 (reel chip).
They should have stickers on them.... The Game chip will be labeld  SP
The reel is labeled SS ...followed by a 4 diget number.

Once you have the SS# ....you can ask the guys if they have a PAR sheet.
That will tell you the payback % , reel strip numbers and more.

When you put the processor board back in the machine ....be carefull...there ar a lot of pins
to get inserted into the connectors.
And as always....never remove the board with the power turned on....ALWAYS OFF.

I love it...I have NEVER heard of an S+ called that...

I have had my S+ for about two years and the only time I turn it off, is to change kit's. The only problem that I have noticed is that the LED bulbs in the buttons tend to burn out faster, since we always have credits on the machine. Something to think about also, is getting a good UPS for it. We have TONS of brownouts and blackouts here in this part of Colorado, not to mention power surges and those will kill your machine faster than anything else!
