More than likely it's a loose plug or bad IO board

A clear and key would fix anything that way, but VFD display that error eludes to isn't concerned with progressive stuff. If you're concerned, you should be able to keychip it and check to make sure progressive stuff is turned off in the keychip menu

As cowboygames mentioned, the machine is telling you that it is sensing that the blue VFD display in the reel glass is not working. That is unrelated to any issue with the machine being part of a linked progressive bank.

Interesting. Are there any errors listed on it?

Ran into this a few times. VFD is working and other display says " NO DISPLAY "  You would think if you can read them both they ARE working.  Usually changing the door IO will clear the error.

Most times the VFD doesn't show there is a error.

you may want to check the Bundle of Green wires on the right inside the door next to to top hinge.
i had this problem where everything went crazy. Foster came over & found when the door was closed it pinched the Green wires. I had just done a game change & was careless not tucking away the wires.
Just a thought.

Also as this is a 5 line games if the board that runs the active line display on the left of the reels can cause display issues.
