Hi everyone,

A friend of mine has recently come across a Queen of the Nile MKV machine. We live in Australia but the machine in of unknown origin. Currently it will not proceed past a 'Cashbox Optic Fault' error - unusual as the machine does not have a bill/note acceptor. Would be great if someone could lead me in the right direction to resolving the fault.

Also would like to clear up what specific model the machine is. It's an all black machine with MKV printed on the circuit boards and lacks the secondary door to access to the light tubes like some machines have.

Hello, yes that's an easy fix, it's simply 2 pins on the backplane. I am not sure how technical you are, but you can start off with a paperclip and sticky tape!

On the backplane (board with all the looms/wires coming off) you will see different 'Port numbers', so find P22 - then Bridge Pins 21 & 20. It should automatically clear, or you just need to turn the reset key. (if you dont have a key its only 2 wires so you can just make a switch later).

Good luck!

Hello,
I am having a problem aristocrat mkv message board cashbox door open. I use a card is not original (backplane) and saw your post in a forum saying to make a jumper between pins 20 and 21 in the connector p22 .. This connector is white and the middle of the plate MKV? I've made the jumper and the error continues.. Thank´s.
