Few things are better than fixing an old game...

That's going to be a tough one.

I do board repairs on boards I can hook up on my test bench and that one is one that won't be easy to do that for.

A location would help - where are you?

All the PROM sockets should be populated.

The operators manual can be found here

http://www.mamext.net/manuali/m79amb.pdf

It might be possible to download the MAME romset, read the ones you have and compare if they are the same, if they are, program the other locations and try it out. From the picture it looks like you have 10T, 9T, 8T, and 7T, you need the 1-10U and 1-6T to fill them up.

It is possible something else is broken, and someone pulled the PROM chips to fix another board, but without populating the PROMs 1st, it'll be pretty difficult to test the rest of the board.

Go locate some EEPROMs, I have a programmer and can program them for you for nothing, you'd have to pay for shipping to Singapore though, that should be cheap...

Or find someone local who can do that.

My company had a office in the IBM towers building, so I had spent a fair bit of time there.
Bo Quay, Little India, Jumbo Seafood by the ocean.... typically the quality of a business trip is measured by the quality of the restaurants.
I never have had Chillie Crab anywhere else in the world that has been that good.
Anything I could possibly need I found on the 4th floor of Sim Lim Square....
Sungie road was always fun at night.

IBM towers at 80 anson road??
That's now known as the Fuji-Xerox towers, you must've been here quite awhile back.

Yeah I love chilli crab too, surprised you can handle the heat. Sim Lim Tower and Square here = electronics heaven, pretty much most of the stuff I need to buy to fix anything can be bought there.

Let's get back on the thread lol, too much OT.

80 Anson Road, and I used to call the Stanford tower home.
It has been a while. That used to be the worlds tallest hotel.
They had a sky bar at the top.

Ahh, the old homestead... or at least in the neighborhood. arrow  It looks like google might be off by a building or two.. perhaps the larger-looking ones to the East-North-East?
