well i picked up two machines the first one has me stumped so i have moved onto the second machine. all works but the hopper works intermittently. i pulled the i/o board out of the first machine and placed it in the second machine. the hopper works fine with the i/o board out of the first machine. i have looked at the schematics for the i/o board but i cant seem to find the transistor that turns the hopper on? is it a transistor or a chip? what turns the hopper on? or what should i look at on the i/o. thanks!!!

If you have an E2000 there should be a small blue or clear relay mounted right behind the hoppers plug. If it was a 1000 series then there would be a relay board in the same place.

i do see the hopper relay board. i have a tested i/o out of another game and the machine functions fine with that i/o board. i reflowed all the edge pins and the problem follows the i/o board. i cant seem to find anything on the i/o schematic that shows a path to the hopper? thanks again for the help!!
