Hi gentlemen.
Some time ago I started to use an open source software (free
) to save websites with important information, in order to browse them off line when I need it, regardless my internet availability, form my hard drive. Its name is HTTrack and it's attached to this post.
It saves the whole thing allowing you to browse every link using your preferred web browser. It saves, HTML, files, pictures, everything!!!! The bigger the website, the longer it takes to finish the task, but at the end you can browse the whole thing with an internet alike experience.
I was wondering if somebody with good broadband speed, as well as powerful computer and enough storage start to save the old NGL from the home page. Or from the most important discussions.... I didn't try it because my actual internet connection would take couple years to finish the task for sure.
At the end, if somebody make it, it would be just matter of putting the resulting folder(s) compressed in a cd to give it as free gifts in the next 4 of July meeting. Or upload images to the cloud for later download. What do you think? Am I watching too many Sci-Fi movies?
Well, just my two cents!!
Best regards
