Hi... I'm looking for help and information on changing my older Bally slots from mechanical coin mechs to comparitors. What number or style competitor will I need to find?? I didn't take into consideration that tokens are magnetic when starting this. I have seen and had a machine in the past that had this done but never paid attention to how it was done? Will I need power to the comparitors since I don't need them to count the coins since I have the original coins switches still. If they still need power then I will need to buy them with the wiring and plug.

Thanks Gary

If you remove the magnet from the
acceptor it will work with steel tokens.

So would I remove the pin and return spring holding the magnet on the coin mech? I looked at that but didn't know how it might affect it.

It shouldn't make a difference.
What have you got to loose,
if it doesn't work you put  it
back and put in a comparator in.
