I have a Games of Nevada flip card poker machine.  Seems to power up fine.  There is an error message "Flip Card Error # (number changes, 1-6).  I have tried the reset button, no go.  Anyone have any experience with this type of machine?

Hey!! Thanks for pinging me!  No,  I haven't got it running yet. I think I am close though.  The problem MIGHT be with the 5 card cartridge.  Still putzing with it.  I get frustrated and walk away from it for a while.  Would really love to get it up and running.  It's a great piece.

I'll keep you updated.

Thanks Op-Bell

I don't have a machine like that myself, though I wish I did, but I have a few spare card units if you need one, and some other spare parts.

I can't give you specific help with the error message, but 'EXCESS' generally means a coin too many - either an extra one paid out from the hopper, or an extra one inserted while the lockout was operated. That's the kind of thing that can happen when you're messing with a game with the door open. It could also be that you were operating the coin microswitch by hand and held it down too long. I don't know how to clear errors on that machine, but turning the service key is usually a good place to start.
