looking at several triple double cherry S2000 machines on youtube, they all have a different sound than mine does.
Thanks Yoeddy for his videos. My triple double cherry plays the same sounds as my IGT 2000S Double Diamond but coorslight115 has verified that it does not have the correct default chips in it either. Now all I need is the factory chips that belong in the Triple Double Cherry and I should be all set. The game plays fine but I am a stickler for default or factory built things. What chip came with my triple double cherry?
It is IGT S2000

You need:
SB100172 Triple Cherry 3 Credit
I do not think there is a Triple Cherry theme specific Sound Simm

Just came back from Vegas two days ago.
Every casino has  T .D.Wild Cherry machines  in all versions & a lot of them have faded strips. Those machines are vary popular.

As far as sound goes you can use the 0042 or the generic sound. Mine I use the 0042. I have the 1270 board. if you take the 0042 off you get the generic.
Since the SB Chip is greater than 100, you cannot use any other sound other than 0042.
If you want to see all the different machines go to Vegas. They have 197,000 to choose from.
Good Luck

Ok, I am confused as hell now on the sound thing... How can I find out what mine is?
Sounds like by what you are saying I should be using a "0042"..... how to tell what I am using??

Remove the MPU and look for a SIMM (looks like memory for an older PC) most will have a label with DSV xxxxx on it. if installed.

I have seen those two slots that look like memory sockets but nothing is in either one? Does that sound right?
Sorry to be such a green noob here! ha  Me, too!  So I guess I am using generic sound eh? Did the machine ship with a SIMM or no?
And why the two slots if only one can be used? Sorry for so many ?????'s

osso12,

Don't worry about asking questions here, we don't care... That is what this site is all about. The white sockets you mentioned are not used on these machines, I think they were for future enhancement, but never used. In your picture look to the left at the empty black right angle SIMM socket on the daughterboard. That is where the SIMM would be if you had one in your machine. That daughter board is called the MMLII board.

Ok god. I have 15 years professional  pc experince and cant figure this out.
Are the slots you mentioned located underneath the multimedia  card?
Can you show me a pic of the area i am looking for and what the sound module
Or the 42 looks like? Use my pic and circle the area?
I having to rethink all my past pc experince... It does no good or does
Not apply so much to slots! Ha

Here you go....

Your picture highlighted in yellow.... and a picture of the proper simm robbed from an ebay ad. It is a DSV00042 Sound SIMM. I think that is the right SIMM, as was mentioned before I did not think that this game has a different theme specific sound SIMM. That is what was referred to as "0042" above.

ah....the "ISA" looking slot... Makes total sense to me now....
So just look on ebay for the 042? I guess the other places on NLG would be the classified section right?
Any other sections I can look at on NLG for my parts? Thanks so much for putting this one to bed. hehe...

You got it right, here in the classified section you can put a WTB ad, or you can check with the vendors on the middle of the front page, or you can go to fleapay!

It sorta looks like a ISA slot, but it is actually just a right angle SIMM socket that will fit SIMMs just like the first two you circled in your picture. IGT sure had to be confusing didn't they? Scratch Head Cry Laughing

Sounds like you are on the right track now! Clap

FYI...

The SB100313 game chip will allow you to select the "Preferred" sound setting as per the following video.  In addition, you can also select "MMLB Generic" or "Legacy" sound from within the sound menus.

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/mgrSh8539D0&rel=0" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/mgrSh8539D0&rel=0</a>

The SB100664 game chip only has the "Legacy" sound option within the sound menus as per the following video:

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/2kTG1UpVlTg&rel=0" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/2kTG1UpVlTg&rel=0</a>

As far as I understand SB100664 is a newer chip than SB100313, but why IGT left out the other sound options in the newer version is beyond me.

I'm also using SG363 and VS011GX1 chips on my board for whatever it's worth.

Thanks,
Jason

Thanks so much for posting this video.. As I had seen your top video before..and thats why I have all the questions about the sound on mine.
My machine is Identical to yours, other than I do not have the touch screen for the multidenom......
Other than that, appears to be the same...
My sound is just like your bottom video shows...
So If I am running the same stepper board as you, the SB100313, I will assume I will not get the "preferred" option until I have the DSV00042 SOUND SIMM installed, which
I do not have installed yet. Is that correct?
Ill go back in the menue, but I only recall seeing a legacy setting, and one more but still got the machine to produce the generic sound as in your bottom video.
My Double Diamond has the same issue, has the same exact sound, and went though the menus on it as well.
One more question while I have you here. Did your TDWC have the back it reels when you got the machine, or did you add the backlit reels?  Scratch Head
Thanks so much. Ill get there one day!
