Purchased Sheepload of Cash off of eBay for a decent price.   Game loads and is ready to play but when I put in cash I get this error.  

Is it because I don't have a button deck with a fisheye button?  Is there a way to get the game to work?

Yes, add the Hot Hot Re-spin "fisheye" button with controller board and it will work.

Sad  -   Oh well I was hoping there was a way to short the cable or something to fool the game into thinking the button was hooked up.

You need the button to play....well, the animator board is actually what it's looking for.

Single Row Universal Animator Command Timeout found in our HOT HOT Pennies, I too replaced the RJ 45 connection from the animation controller board to the display and the problem went away.
