It contains 10-pins.
I'd guess it's for some sort of a Netplex peripheral component, but used as an extension "cord" for something
that would be located further away from the motherboard - like up in the topbox...
Could have been used for an optional progressive display at one time.
Save it...you might need it someday.

It is a netplex harness but is should be connected to motherboard and the female end should be attached to the connector bracket/plate at left rear of the top box unless you one installed already if you do then it is an extra as Stout stated.

I'll save it.....
If it was suppose to be plugged in then I'd be getting errors so probably extra harness.....
