Good day for all,

We have been trying to implement the use of EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) in our machines IGT Reel. We are still using physical coins and we want to keep that concept; I mean, we want to let the client decide whether to insert a coin or tell our cashier to transfer the credits through the system. Doing so would be great for us, but we have found a problem: we want to know how many coins the hopper has but we have not been able yet.
We have notice that credits transferred can be played (goes to coin in meter) or cashed out (goes to handpay meter), this situation make us impossible to determine the amount of physical coins that the hopper has.  In the machine there is a meter which accumulate the quantity of physical coins inserted (meter 46 in SP1049), but we cannot access it through SAS. Do you know any technique of formula to determine it using the known meters available in the SAS protocol?

Thanks for attention.

According to the PSR for the SP1049 that is mentioned its SAS 3.10

Futkorn try these
$2A = Send true coin in meter.
$2B = Send true coin out meter.
$2C = Send current hopper level.

we run on the Oasis 6.2 system and the option to allow AFT credits to be cashed out is controlled by a system setting.  i can't imagine having to try to track where downloaded credits go if the guest had the option to cash them out. hide1

Maybe try another SP chip that supports a later version of SAS. Over here we the prefferred base for all the cashless systems is SP1213 which is SAS  4.02
