I have several burned out bulbs in my s2000/visions. I cannot get the socket to come out of the button. My S+'s pop right out. What do I have to do? Afraid to pull too hard and don't feel any lock tab. Jim

I've seen at least two different kinds of deck buttons for S2000's.
What kind do you have?

I've had some tight ones before. What i did was, remove the outer lens cap and use a narrow tip flat blade screwdriver to tap ot loose from the top side

If it's a IGT factory button switch, you should just have to wiggle it side to side while pulling down. ( sometimes they are kind of a Bitch )  If by chance someone installed after market switches, try rotating the lower half CW
( which is backwards from what you would think )

I think someone once posted, slide a tight fitting piece of hose over the glass bulb and either suck on the hose and jerk on it, or put your thumb over the end of the hose. ( Didn't work for me )  ( And yes Skipper I left myself wide open on this one, take your best shot )

the newer S2000 switches do have a tab on side of the switch
you have to press or squeeze in on the tabs to release the switch.
I do not know if they have been replaced when the machine was shopped or not.
All I know is the ones on left side of the deck are a Pain in the A** to get to and release
Good idea for preventing the switch from popping out of the button body

Buzz,

If yours is the old style, it should be just like the S+ buttons.

Got it. They are really hard unlike the s+. Any helpful tips to get to the 10 smaller buttons? One person suggested removing the lense. What needs to be done for that? 2 small flat blades? I ask so I don't mess it up and need new parts. Also read about changing the 3v button battery to a tray and use cr2032and also remove the green battery. Or is it better to use the same battery that is in it. I have to solder either way. What is prefered?

I use a very small flatblade and pop them off from the top edge between the button base and lense then I use a forceps to change them
