Sb100140 did not support backlit strips. A lot of the early ones did not. Later replacment strips were made back lit because that was the method being used for all strips. But to my knowlage Phantom never was backlit...

My understanding as well.  That and no 3CM support with it's enhanced DSV SIMM are why I never bought this kit.

I have one of the six Phantom of The Opera 3-Coin kits. These are the only 3-coin I.G.T. kits that I have ever seen,  going to Las Vegas every year from 1978-1999, & a few times later. Reno & other obscure Casino's.
They are Round Top with Phantom of The opera Reel glass, & Belly glass. A very unique Theme & extremely rare.
There are two ways you can go,

Use the Sb100005 chip, which is a two coin Phantom of The Opera chip. The pay outs are correct for one & two coins played. No three coin this way & you can use the Phantom sound card.
OR,
Use the SB chip 100???  for the Mystery Action, I need some help here, & you will get the three coin Mystery Action reels. You can not use the Phantom sound card this way.

There are no other options that I know are available.

Their is a White Skull in side the Eyeball.

This is what I have for the Phantom of the Opera kit.. The 2cn is the SB100005, and the 3cn is SB001000, and the Reels are SS8188. I bought this kit for the wife, but never installed it once I figured out I couldn't use the sound Simm. I'm still looking for a round top Payout glass for the 2cn version if anyone know where one could be bought?
