That is the I/O board.  When you have both of those error messages appear together the problem is normally on the MPU board (the one below that one).  Assuming you have a 3902 board, the component that normally fails is U74.  Sometimes the chip will have visible damage, such as a crack or burnt spot on it.  If your not sure what kind of MPU board you have post a picture of it and we can tell you.  Welcome to  nlg

Oh Ok, good.  I would replace the I/O switch panel board, in your photo it's the largest of the two boards.  If you're looking at a specific component I would replace U7.

In looking at the schematics a bit closer the coin/meter signals are processed by both boards, so it's really a 50/50 shot as to which one is bad.  Swap one out, if it doesn't fix it then swap out the other.  Once you know what board is bad we can looks at individual components.

Ok, getting there.  With the bad board installed, disconnect J51 from it.  If the Coin In Jam clears, but the Meter disconnected error remains I would replace U5.  Note you may have to open/close the door for the error message to clear.

Yep, they are interchangeable.  My parts list shows U5 is a 14106 but a CD40106 is installed on my board.  The U7 on my I+ IO board is a CD40106 as well.
