this a machine that has been sitting for a few years.  I replaced the battery, made sure J12 and J20 were jumped.  Installed clear chips, turned power on while holding switches, and got proper messages.  Turned power off and put u28 and u43 mains back in.  powered up and got the date, pressed service button to accept date.  Now there no numbers on any display.  I pressed the test button numerous times but can't get any display readings.  There are no lights light on cpu.  Any suggestions?

thanks
Bob

Hi Bob,
the usual run down is to check for bent pins at the connector and bent chip legs first.  Did you try the clear chips again..   Next, try another power supply.

Thanks,
Wayne

I tried clearing it a few times with the same results (no display and couldn't get to to 11d).  I'll check the personality chips tomorrow, I just burnt them today and maybe I got one bad.

Bob, My guess is a bad set of mains..Post the personality chip numbers you used and the checksun you get and I will match it against mine to see if it is the same.
