Hello,
I'm considering buying a slot machine made by unicum (from Russia) which uses a 3M brand touchscreen but the slot is in demo mode and possibly no way without a clear chip to take it out of demo mode... long story short, the touchscreen doesn't work and the seller thinks the touchscreen is turned off in the set up. Has anyone ever heard of a touchscreen being turned off? It plays fine using the deck buttons but no response at all from the touchscreen. Can this be the case?
Thanks, Jim

Since Touchscreens require some kind of serial driver, I can see that it may be possible to "turn off" a touchscreen by disabling the driver, or even removing the power to the touchscreen driver board.
So perhaps there may be a software setting in the setup that would allow you to do this.  Scratch Head
