Slot has been working great until this morning.  I turned it on and it seems like sensors have all stopped working.

Highly unlikely that more than one optic went out simultaneously. You cannot get any messages to clear after confirming that bill stacker is closed/latched? I am assuming it has a latch of some kind? If not, tape it closed for now. They do have to be aligned correctly or it will error. The errors will stack and you may have to open and close the main door 5-6 times to clear them. Or better yet, with door closed, barely lift up on handle (as if you were going to open door) while door is closed (makes the machine thinks the main door has been opened and closed and will clear stacked errors. Do this 5-6 times and see if you get anywhere. Watch the display while you are doing it.

Ok I had another main CPU board, moved all chips over to the new board re-programmed and it now works.  Did get an error message that  is was having troubles communicating with the BV.  I checked the battery on the old one 1.47V.  Can a low battery cause issues like this?

1.4v on the coin battery is extremely low. Shoulda triggered a low battery error. I'd replace the battery and reinstall the board to be sure that's all it was

If it's a 500 series board the green battery is irrelevant and can be removed. Now on the other hand, if it leaks acid on the board below it then it can cause main door optics problems, but I've never heard of it causing bill stacker problems. What's your coin battery voltage at?

If you have a 1270 enhanced MPU installed then the green battery can be a problem when it gets low
