How do I know how many pins are needed on my plug for a replacement monitor? 19 pins 21 pins or?

Count them... seriously    count all the pins and empty holes as well. Should be either 19 or 25

Me, too! agreed!! Power down machine and remove monitor or plug for LCD harness & count the holes/pins.
FWIW the 19 pin is aka non-avp and the 25 pin is aka avp!
