We got in a truck load of about 100 machines this past week and I've been sorting ever since  Silly Me!

Today I bumped into these beaut's ( "Anything But 6") in the pics below and the first thing that popped into my head was STAZ !!!  Most of you know our ever amusing NLG member "STAZ" who is most famous for being a true "play-aaa" in the casinos and being a big better.  Anyway...take a close look at the reel glass  bust gut laughing  bust gut laughing  bust gut laughing ... the max bet on these machines was a cool $1,000 buckeroo's....or you could actually be a cheapo and just bet $125 a spin   bust gut laughing .... too rich for my blood.

So whatta ya say Staz ???  This up your alley ??  LOL   Cry Laughing  arrow

Couple interesting facts I learned looking more closely at the machine. First off the casino had the percentage of payout for all denoms set at about 92.75%.  So you weren't really getting a break by betting big on these machines  loser .  Obviously these sat in the high limit area of the casino barely ever touched (Venetian in this case) as I wiped the dust off a little and there was nothing but perfection underneath.  I also took a gander at the mechanical meter  ttth  listen to this..... The total money taken in was about 365,000 credits  and the money paid out was only about 40,000 credits....LOL....I wonder if the casino was happy with their investment???  I'm still not seeing that 92.75% payback...I guess that comes later.

Isn't 92.5% the highest it goes for payback? At those prices I'd bet no one really spent a whole lot of time playing it. They are a very cool looking game, but the hit percentage isn't all that great. To many crappy little low end wins

Well yeah...that's very true about Barcrest machines.  I consider them the "carnival" games in the casino.  They are a heck of a lot of fun to play but you really don't expect to win much.  But what the hell....where's the gaming commission questioning that offset payout amount of 365,000 in VS. 40 K out....whew...

Jim, how does it work if you say start with 10 credits, play for an hour or two winning small amounts to keep going and eventually leave with nothing? Will the win meter show anything? Or do you have to cash out for it to go to the win meter?

I'll get you a video when I can.  It's a pretty intense bonus with some major decision making going on.  Got in pretty much got in the full gamut but I am avoiding the the AVP's for the moment....too pricey and risky in my opinion at this stage.  Got in about 8 Barcrests, 10 upright Alphas, 6 CineVisions, some M9000's, I-Games, 044's, got in 10 very cool Ring BB's, and literally tons of very nice S2000 titles.

Agreed -- I couldn't imagine risking that much money (on those high denom machines) in the bonus.

Cowboy...I'll take a picture of the meter when I get back at the shop and post it tomorrow so we can study it.  We need to look at 3 things, Coin In, Coin Out, and Coin Drop.

Thanks Jim, I've always wondered how the meters counted when you lose it before you cash out. I always assumed it wasn't a win unless you cash out. Seems to me that up to that point it would be coins in. Amounts large enough to trigger handpay of course would automatically go to the coins out meter

Here Cowboy, I snipped this out of an S2000 manual.  There are actually 4 things accounted for on the mechanical meter, Coin In, Coin Out, Coin Drop, and Jackpot

Jim,
How did you get the 40,000 out? Just the Coin Out or all three Coin Out, Drop, and Jackpot?
I would think that there would have been a lot of hand pays with those huge denoms.
Even if all max bets were in the $25 denom it would still be less than 3000 spins so the game volatility would come into play.

Those machines are like new!! Just broke in.
Those will make a great addition to someones man cave!!

great point

One day when I make my millions I would love to make one machine per meter set.
I'm a huge stat person and LOVE the % stats

I often turn the key and look at the accounting meters

My problem is changing games
once you do a game change - stats go out the window

Jim,  I have always liked these.  I have the parts if you do not when they break familiar with the platform as I have studied and have simular.  Games will throw you for a loop --Folks these are R-board based (very sim. to I-game flash).   s-2000 enhanced mother board/cpu/processor.  Requires diff. KEY chips and sets up/keys alot like I-games as far as menus goes.  Nothing like a regular s-2000 generic or themed  reg. machine--Diff. Beast here. In my opinion with the proper machine (working) these are caddys as far as user freindlyness (stout I need your spell check for me now- Silly Me!).  Nice machines Jim. Remember the Game program is Flashed to the board--CANNOT change unless you switch r-boards  on that platform.  Boot and base Chips--the game, sound and other are flashed to the R-board.  --------B. ------Any thing but 8------ Tongue Out.

I'm obviously very late in posting here, but Uniman is mostly correct. The payout could vary greatly if the number of trials was very small. Check the accounting denom to verify what the 365,000 figure represents. You can verify the number of games from the Total Games Played meter.

You'll need to check the coin/ticket out, jackpots paid, AND soft credit collects to get the total paid out. However, don't add in the drop.

 Duh!

I forgot to post that PIC of the meter...sorry about that.  It makes sense of course that we would have to get into the board accounting to get the full picture.  I haven't cleared the memory on the machine yet so I'll see if I can get into it over the weekend and take some pics.
