Don't be afraid to ask questions, the programming of a Cham2+ can be a real pain sometimes!
Here's a lesson I learned on my Cham2+; If your downloading a text message to be displayed on the meter, download immediately after the Cham2+ boots up and your success rate will greatly improve!

You most likely need a different harness or need to make one up. Each slot manufacture has a different way of pulsing the mikohn for incrementing the progressive and a different signal for telling it the jackpot was hit. Each slot manufacture has a slightly different wiring scheme. In the back of the Cham2 manual should be wiring diagrams for IGT.

I have only connected the Cham2+ to Universal brand slots so maybe some IGT folks can step in and help you more.

FYI The S2000 actually has 2 progressive ports
One on the motherboard and one on the Comm board that is the board in the middle of the AC Dist box mounted on the back wall with a ribbon cable between it and the motherboard
Both Progressive ports work the same way and are the same style connector, a 6 pin Molex SL 0.100" connecter
The S+ and S2000 both use the J7 connector on the Cham II+ a 14 pin version of the ATA (PATA) Connector on Computer Motherboards, it also has 0.100" spacing

Please post a clear picture of the harness and try to a good close up of the connectors when doing it.
