Hi folks, I'm hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction.  I have an S-Plus that had the lamp power on the "Bet Max" plugged into the button switch for awhile.  It blew the 8A fuse, and cooked the connector on the backplane thats usually a little brown and the backplane itself.  I replaced the fried connector, backplane, and fuse; but I still have no display or power to the reels.  I also replaced the CPU board in case it was damaged in the process, but it didn't change the symptoms.  My power supply is fine, and giving proper output.  I don't see any melty wires, so I'm wondering what I might be missing.  Any thoughts?

The connector on the mother board that comes the side of the power supply is probably the problem.  With power on and door open you  can move the connector up and down, you probably see the reels lock up and the display lights will come on.  These is a very common problem with S+ machines.  If you want you can cut the 2 green ground wires near the mother board and then ground them to a screw in the base of the machine.

Yep, the new pins in the new connector weren't making contact.  Thanks!
